Le corps à l'épreuve de l'installation-projection
Résumé
The installation-projections question the object, the technology, the sensitive body and their interrelations. They do not specifically concern video or photography, but borrow from the spectacular, phantasmagorias, experimental cinema... The medium is no longer symptomatic of a tool and refers to the exercise of installation in a place transformed by the projected image, replacing that of the place. Whether or not the project is conceived in situ, its realization is based on a logic of confrontation between the body, a machine for experiencing, and the place, a machine for living.
Les installations-projections interrogent l'objet, la technologie, le corps sensible et leurs interrelations. Elles ne concernent pas spécifiquement la vidéo ou la photographie, mais empruntent au spectaculaire, aux fantasmagories, au cinéma expérimental... Le médium n'est plus symptomatique d'un outil et renvoie à l'exercice de l'installation dans un lieu tranfiguré par l'image projetée, se substituant à celle du lieu. Que le projet soit conçu ou non in situ, sa réalisation relève d'une logique de confrontation entre le corps, machine à éprouver, et le lieu, machine à vivre.
