The thesis aims to articulate a conception of the political community starting from Foucault's ethical-political reflection, that is, to derive from it a theoretico-political project of collective emancipation. It shows, first of all, how Foucauldian reflection cannot amount to a theory of the community because of two structural aporias: on the one hand, the absence of a normative foundation for the political praxis of the subject; on the other, the lack of a theory of its communitarian and collective becoming. In order to resolve these impasses, the thesis proposes to turn to Wittgenstein's reflection, on the basis of the common membership of the two authors in the perfectionist tradition of moral thought and more particularly their convergence in the perfectionist critique of the Cartesian subject, which in Wittgenstein's work takes the form of a redefinition of subjectivity in terms of voice. Against the background of this convergence, the study proposes to reinterpret Foucauldian theory of the political subject through the perfectionist category of voice. It shows how this reinterpretation, on the one hand, provides the action of this subject with a normative foundation, assigning to it a paradigm of political rationality, and, on the other, allows for the reinterpretation of parrhesia as the political outcome of this paradigm, in the form of a model of radical democracy. This model constitutes the redefinition of the political community made possible by Foucault's work: thanks to the Wittgensteinian category of voice, Foucault’s thought can thus be developed into an overall political proposal, finally assuming the dimension of a project of collective emancipation.
La thèse vise à articuler une pensée de la communauté politique à partir de la réflexion éthico-politique de Foucault, c'est-à-dire à en déduire un projet théorico-politique d'émancipation collective. Elle montre, tout d'abord, comment la réflexion foucaldienne ne peut devenir une pensée de la communauté en raison de deux nœuds aporétiques structurels : d'une part, l'absence de fondement normatif de la praxis politique du sujet ; d'autre part, l'absence d'une théorie de son devenir communautaire et collectif. Afin de résoudre ces impasses, la thèse propose de se tourner vers la réflexion de Wittgenstein, sur la base de l'appartenance commune des deux auteurs à la tradition perfectionniste de la pensée morale et notamment pour leur convergence structurelle dans la critique perfectionniste du sujet cartésien, qui prend chez Wittgenstein la forme d'une redéfinition de la subjectivité en termes de voix. À partir de cette convergence, l'étude propose de réinterpréter la théorie foucaldienne du sujet politique à travers la catégorie perfectionniste de voix. Elle montre comment cette réinterprétation, d'une part, fournit à l'action de ce sujet un fondement normatif, en lui assignant un paradigme de rationalité politique, et, d'autre part, permet de réinterpréter la parrêsia comme l'aboutissement politique de ce paradigme, sous la forme d'un modèle inédit de démocratie radicale. Cette dernière constitue la redéfinition de la communauté politique rendue possible par le travail de Foucault : grâce à la catégorie wittgensteinienne de voix, elle peut ainsi être développée en une proposition politique globale, prenant finalement la dimension d'un projet d'émancipation collective.
